Visitor registration at the retail points for sales efficiency analysis

ViziCounter Pro, the visitor registration system, is designed to analyse the quantity of retail outlet visitors and the efficiency of marketing events.

      Visitor registration system ViziCounter Pro is to be used to:

 

  • estimate the efficiency of the sales outlet or department (sales performance);
  • analyse the effect of marketing and other events launched to increase the number of customers;
  • assess the prospects of a new sales outlet opening;
  • determine the customer routes and create the maps of customer attendance.

 

Visitor registration system ViziCounter Pro consists of ViziCounter+ equipment and analytical system.

VIZICOUNTER+ EQUIPMENT

The equipment detects the number of visitors and transmits the data to the analytical system. Data can be transferred both via direct connection to a computer and over mobile communication. The option of data transfer via mobile communications allows providing the distribution network operation information to the central office in real-time mode.

ViziCounter system is developed and manufactured by DigSee company. Main possible configurations are:

Visitors counter with the function of remote data transmission over mobile communications channel.
It can support up to four pairs of sensors and does not require a computer at a point.

    Reliable and cost-efficient visitor sensors. May be connected to a computer or hub via RS232.

      Vizicounter Basic

      Sensors are to be placed at a distance of 5 meters from each other and able to record every movement between each pair. Features:

      • PC connection via RS232 interface to constantly send the number of crossings between each sensor pair.
      • Intelligent counting (too frequent movements and interference are ignored)
      • Does not require a separate power supply (powered by the computer USB connector), optional separate power supply may be provided
      • Up to four pairs of sensors may be connected
      • Chain one-wire connection of sensors

      Vizicounter Mobile

      ViziCounter GSM sensors are to be placed at a distance of 5 meters from each other and data transmission unit. The transmission unit contains a common SIM card for mobile data transfer to central office / owner’s mobile phone / visitor analysis system ViziCounterOnline. The control unit has a button putting the counter into security mode, when, if the visitor crosses the counters at undue time, SMS alert will be sent to the owner.

      ANALYTICAL COMPONENT OF SOLUTION

      Analytical system is an SQL database and OLAP-cube. The use of OLAP technology enables users to generate reports in the form most convenient for analysis.

      Analytical system allows to process the data obtained from the equipment and identify the main attendance indices of the sales outlet. Using the data received from the equipment and visitor counting systems, you can obtain the following reports:

      • schedule of sales outlet attendance depending on the time of day;
      • average number of visitors for a certain period of time;
      • change in the number of visitors for the selected periods;
      • change in the average number of visitors for the selected periods;
      • time of day when the number of visitors is minimal or maximal;
      • attendance map for the sale outlet and customer movement routes (when the equipment is deployed in different departments).

      If the visitor number data is supplemented by the information on the sales and marketing events conducted, in result you can get a complex of reports to analyse the efficiency of the measures taken. This complex may include the following reports:

      • effective visitor share;
      • changes in the number of visitors before and after the marketing events;
      • effective visitor percentage change after conducting marketing events.
